What personal data we collect and why we collect it

MLR Virtual Solutions has adopted this Privacy Policy Statement in order to inform you of its policies with respect to personal information collected from you, including but not limited to, your name, mailing address, fax number, email addresses and phone numbers.

We will not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless you are asked and willingly provide it.  Therefore, if you do not want us to obtain any of your personal information, do not submit any to us. Please be aware however, failure to provide personal information may result in the inability to receive products or services.

Personal identifiable information is any information that concerns you individually and could enable someone to contact you.  For example, your name, telephone number, email address or any information that you have submitted to us that identifies you personally.

To the extent permitted by law, the provisions of this Policy concerning “personal information” do not apply to information (such as your personal name, position, title, business address, business telephone number and business email address) which enables you to be contacted at a place of business.

Subject to you providing your express or implied consent and applicable laways, from time to time, MLR Virtual Solutions my send to you emails and other communications containing information about services and products and current promotions or specials.  At any time, you may ask us to stop sending you such correspondence by unsubscribing, or contacting  us at info@mlrvirtualsolutions.ca.  We may also use your personal information where appropriate to process and service transactions and send related communications to you.

MLR Virtual Solutions may provide your personal information to its affiliates, agents, suppliers and service providers for use in connection with matters relating to our services.  We require our affiliates, agents, suppliers and service providers to agree use your personal information only for the purposes for which it is provided to them, and to protect the privacy of your personal information in a manner that is consistent with the Policy.  If at any time you do not wish your personal information to be disclosed, please send your request to info@mlrvirtualsolutions.ca

MLR Virtual Solutions my disclose your personal information to a government institution that has asserted its lawful authority to obtain the information or where we have reasonable grounds to believe the information could be useful in the investigation of unlawful activity, or to comply with a subpoena or warrant or an order made by a court, person or body with jurisdiction to compel the production of information, or to comply with court rules regarding the production of records and information, or to its legal counsel. We have no control over, or liability for, those persons’ use and disclosure of your personal information, and that use and disclosure is not subject to this Policy.

MLR Virtual Solutions will store and process your personal information in Canada. The laws of other countries regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information may be different from the laws of Canada. The disclosure of your information in accordance with this Policy and applicable law may result in your personal information being transferred outside of Canada. We use reasonable security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information in our possession in order to protect that information from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal or similar risks.

MLR Virtual Solutions reserves the right to modify or supplement this policy at any time. If a material change to the terms of this policy is made, we will post a notice on our Website.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

Personal information is also collected using contact forms on this site – by completing the form and sending the information, you are granting permission for MLR Virtual Solutions to contact you in regards to your request.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Analytics

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
