Referral sources are a great way to find out where your clients are coming from.

Referrals can be in the form of people who you know telling their friends about you, or they can be an online review that brings new visitors to your website. Referral sources allow you to take an at-a-glance look at what’s working well for you in terms of marketing strategies and what might need improvement. In this blog post, we will cover Dubsado’s project sources so that you can see where your clients come from!

In Dubsado, you have the ability to track how your clients found you using Project Source Tag. This is great for your marketing because you will be able to see how your clients are finding you and where you should focus your efforts.

You are creating your own Project Sources in Dubsado so you can really narrow down on what you want to track. Some examples you could use are:

  • Facebook Groups
  • Instagram
  • Direct Referrals
  • Website
  • Google Search
  • Networking Group
  • Chamber of Commerce

You can connect the project source element to your lead capture form and your potential client selects where they found you. When they do that, it is tagged in Dubsado and you will be able to see this in the Reporting Tab of Dubsado.

It is great to know where leads are coming from so that you can focus your marketing dollars on what is working and move away from what isn’t. If you are seeing that all your clients are coming from word of mouth, maybe you want to set up a referral rewards program for those clients that send work your way.
